Hi, I am Abhishek Dey a.k.a “GPUToaster™“. “How ya doin?”. It seems like you are interested to know the blogger now. I must say, you are on the right page!. So here’s a brief info about me. Starting with my academic background, I completed my Master’s in Computer Science from Pune University, India in 2009 and graduation (B.Sc(Computer Science)) from Fergusson College, Pune where I kick-started and pushed my brains into programming. How?? you don’t want to know it! Believe me, I am completely a different Animal, you would have ever encountered in your lifetime!
Here’s my complete list of Technical vocabulary (more on their way!!)
While pursuing Master’s I worked on many technologies and projects. Complete list of my projects can be found on my online resume. During this I learnt Game/Graphics Development, about GPU’s and other hardware related concepts.
I did my internship from Neeti Soultions Pvt. Ltd., Pune, India(a company which is engaged in developing Disaster Management Games and Virtual Reality Tools in conjunction with E-semble , The Netherlands (E-Semble)) developing a VR tool Table-Top VR (Maquette VR (Now XVR), which was originally developed using Quest 3D) using Irrlicht 1.5 Real time Engine and also deployed a Linux Version.
I was also a part of development team of VOStat (Virtual Observatory), IUCAA (Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics), Pune, India, created JAX-WS web services so as to interact, compute and generate statistics on the Satellite Data.
At leisure I spend most of the time learning and developing Game/Graphics technologies, technical concepts, etc. I keep updated myself with latest graphics technological enhancements through ozone3d (one of the site I regularly visit for the latest updates).
I’m also an active member of Code Project(codeproject.com). You can read my profile and posts @ GPUToaster™’s Profile
Apart from developing, I spend my Saturdays and Sundays playing Games. My Favorites include Crysis Sequels, Far Cry 2, Mirror’s Edge, Assisin’s Creed sequels, COD series, MOH 2010 and Fallout 3.
The contents here are mostly technology updates, you will find latest news on upcoming, eye catching technologies, latest info on games, information on hardware that might help you choose between performance and money, happenings in high performance computing, smartphone technologies and may be some links to famous music videos!
There are/will be tutorials which are designed to introduce the intended audience with the new technologies and have at least a basic understanding of the same in programming them. Caution though, If you don’t have any experience in programming, it is highly recommended to skip and learn to work before attempting to dive into various technologies.
I hope you will enjoy your time surfing this blog and find your suitable article here. Its also a request to leave comments and rate the posts (Completely voluntary).
