LG has unveiled what it describes as the world’s first smartphone to come with a dual-core processor.
The LG Optimus 2X features the Nvidia Tegra 2 1GHz processor, which according to LG will give users quicker response times when multitasking and faster web browsing. It comes with Android 2.2(Froyo) and LG has announced that it will provide upgrade to Gingerbread (2.3) OS very soon.
LG optimus 2x features a 4-inch WVGA screen, 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD slot for expansion. There is a rear camera of 8MegaPixel with flash and a front camera of 1.3MegaPixel.
This handset is able to play High definition video at 1080p resolution and is able to record video in MPEG-4 and H.264 format; there is also a HDMI port, which turns this phone into a media player.
